A fresh take on William Shakespeare’s legendary Romeo and Juliet, & Juliet is a brand new musical that is guaranteed to leave you awestruck in its wake. The renowned tragedy takes a new form in this musical, with certain critical plot elements being changed. The musical features some of the eminent Swedish producer and songwriter Max Martin’s best work, including “Everybody” by the Backstreet Boys, “Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd and “Love Me Like You Do” by Ellie Goulding. Also producing the show, Max Martin in an eleven-time winner of the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award. Bill Sherman, a Tony Award and Grammy Award winner, is the music supervisor, and you are in for one of the most exciting musical experiences in your life!

The confluence of high-octane music with a classic tale, although unconventional, makes for a spectacular musical. The cast is led by the immensely talented Miriam-Teak Lee as Juliet, and playwright David West explores the notion that the tragic ending of Juliet might just have been the beginning.

The Story

The story begins with Romeo and Juliet, two lovers on the verge of committing suicide after not being able to marry each other. At the last moment, Juliet decides not to take her life and runs away to the city of Paris. Nurse and her best friends accompany Juliet, where they can hope to be free and away from the politics of her family. The possibilities of romance and fun are unlimited without the presence of Juliet’s domineering family. Follow Juliet and her troupe, as they go on a journey of self-discovery that was unimaginable previously!
