Based on the book by Susan Hill and adapted by Stephen Mallatratt, The Woman In Black plays with your imagination. With only two people performing the play on the stage, everything else that the theatre-goer witnesses is a brilliant combination of props and secondary actors moving behind the scenes. As the line between reality and imagination start blurring, expect to be impressed and terrified as you start to become absorbed by the experience.

The Story

The play tells the story of Arthur Kipps, a solicitor who is sent to a remote town to attend the funeral of a client. During the funeral he sees a mysterious woman dressed in black and enquires about her, leaving his local companion terrified. He then leaves to visit the house of the deceased and finds letters that describe the woman in black and her haunted past. Soon after, his life begins to take a haunted turn and misfortune befalls him. Many years later, he enlists the help of an actor to tell his story.
